The expansion project here in Ecuador is officially 100% complete! The last of the construction crew is now working on some revisions to the Water Treatment system and also cleaning up and organizing. Tait and I have been working on tiling the two "Floc Tanks" that are part of the water system. The water runs through these tanks that contain a chemical called "Floc" that treats the water. The tanks are made of concrete and the chemical is starting to eat through it. So they wanted to tile it and seal it with an epoxy grout. The interesting thing is, as you can see in the photos, the tank is shaped like a big wedge with the floor only about a foot wide. It is very awkward to work in! First we had to clean the tanks out. We included a photo to help you appreciate what that involved. And if you're wondering how we enjoyed working with the epoxy grout, I think Tait's face says it all :-)The last photo is of the remaining group of International Construction workers at Bethel Family day this past weekend...
